If a Massachusetts Probate and Family Court ordered you to complete a parent education class, our class delivers the full curriculum that Standing Order 3-23 requires across Massachusetts's 14 counties. Standing Order 3-23 applies to contested family cases, separate support cases, paternity actions, and custody and parenting time disputes filed after February 12, 2024.
Massachusetts designates "Two Families Now" as the default provider under Standing Order 3-23. When your judge allows provider choice, or when you are completing a parent education class outside the closed-provider mandate (for example, post-judgment modifications at the judge's discretion, or proactive completion before filing), our class covers all the topics Standing Order 3-23 requires: children's developmental needs, the impact of family separation on children, effective co-parenting strategies, and communication skills.
Joint no-fault family cases under G.L. c. 208, § 1A are exempt from the Standing Order 3-23 requirement. Confirm with your attorney or court clerk which provider applies to your specific case before enrolling.
Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts implemented Standing Order 3-23 in 2024, reinstating mandatory parent education after suspending the previous requirement during COVID. The order establishes a closed provider system with no application process for additional providers.
